Using the Search Engine

01 How does the search engine work?

Nutri Doctor lets you search for supplement products by their ingredients. You add the ingredients you want, optionally exclude ingredients you want to avoid, and the search engine returns products that match your criteria — across multiple merchants simultaneously.

Results are ranked to show you the fewest products needed to cover all the ingredients you're looking for, making it easy to find efficient, targeted combinations.

02 How do I add an ingredient to my search?

Type the name of an ingredient into the search box. A dropdown will appear with matching ingredients from our database — if an ingredient doesn't appear, it isn't in our index yet. Select an ingredient from the list to add it.

Once added, the ingredient appears as a tag with a green [ + ] symbol. Search results update automatically. You can add up to five ingredients at a time.

03 How do I exclude an ingredient?

Tap or click an added ingredient tag once. The green [ + ] symbol changes to a dark red [ − ] and the label shows "Excluded." Results will automatically update to hide any products containing that ingredient.

This is useful if you have an allergy, sensitivity, or simply want to avoid a specific compound.

04 How do I remove an ingredient from my search?

Each ingredient tag cycles through three states as you tap or click it:

Tap / ClickSymbolStateWhat it does
1stExcludedProducts with this ingredient are hidden
2nd×DeleteTap the delete button to confirm removal
3rd+AddedIngredient is added; results update

To clear your entire search at once, tap the three-disk reset icon at the bottom right of the search box. It only appears when at least one ingredient has been added.

05 How do I choose which merchants to include?

Tap or click the menu icon in the top right corner. You'll see a list of available merchants. Tap a merchant name to toggle it on or off — active merchants appear in green, excluded merchants in red. At least one merchant must remain selected at all times.

06 Why is there a five-ingredient limit?

The current limit of five search conditions keeps results focused and manageable. If there is sufficient demand, this limit may be increased in a future update. You can request this — or any other feature — through the contact link below.

Data & Accuracy

07 Where does the product data come from?

Product information — including ingredient lists, amounts, descriptions, and prices — is sourced directly from third-party merchant websites. Nutri Doctor does not manufacture, sell, or fulfil any products.

08 How accurate and current is the data?

We update merchant site data periodically, but product formulations, availability, and prices can change between updates. The data displayed may not reflect the most current information.

Always verify ingredient information directly on the merchant's product page before purchasing, particularly if you have allergies, sensitivities, or specific health requirements. Nutri Doctor is a discovery tool — the merchant's listing is the authoritative source.
Health & Privacy

09 Is this medical advice?

No. Nutri Doctor is a search and comparison tool for informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing any supplement regimen — especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, or take prescription medications. See our Terms of Service & Privacy Policy for full details.

10 What data does Nutri Doctor collect about me?

Nutri Doctor does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data — pages visited, search activity, session duration, device type, and approximate region. This helps us understand how the Service is used and how to improve it. Google Analytics sets third-party cookies for this purpose.

You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

General

11 Is there a mobile app?

Nutri Doctor is currently available as a web application at nutri.doctor, optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers. A dedicated mobile app may be available in the future — check back or follow the GitHub repository for updates.

12 How do I support the site?

The best way to support Nutri Doctor is to use it and share it. When you click through to a merchant and make a purchase, we may earn a small affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. This helps cover the cost of running and improving the Service.

13 How do I contact you, request a feature, or report a bug?

The best place for feature requests, bug reports, and public discussion is our GitHub repository — it keeps everything transparent and searchable:
